Best High Tea In Singapore

To be able to hunt for the best high tea in Singapore is a rare luxury that not many Singaporeans get to enjoy.

Why do I say that? Well, unless your intention is to have high tea only during weekends, most locals won’t be able to spare the time during a typical weekday to hang out with friends and loved ones for an afternoon session.

Of course, that’s based on my assumption that high tea is usually enjoyed in the afternoon.

Regardless, it is most definitely one of the sweet pleasures of life to be able to savour delightful little bites of scones and muffins and take in the light aroma of freshly brewed tea (or even coffee!) on a lazy afternoon.

Whether it’s with friends and family or going at it alone, it can be a moment to be thoroughly relished.

Indeed, it’s a perfect chance to just chit-chat, catch up on your favourite magazine or just to get ‘work’ off your mind for a bit.

So where in your opinion is the best high tea in Singapore?

1. Antoinette

Inspired by the last queen of France, Marie Antoinette, this little French-themed outfit was opened by Chef Pang Kok Keong in The Mandarin Gallery at Orchard Road.

They do not have specific tea sets on offer, but you can pick and create your own from an adequate selection of cakes, macaroons, French pastries, bread and a wide range of teas.

2. L’Espresso

Situated right at the outskirts of Orchard and nested well within Goodwood Park Hotel is the popular L’Espresso.

Serving up a generous buffet spread alongside their pool, it makes for a relaxing ambience for anyone to dive in (to the food of course!) till their hearts content.

3. Tea Lounge

Another crowd favorite is Tea Lounge at The Regent, Singapore. Their specialty  is the English three-tiered high tea that boasts an exhaustive range from savoury delights to sweet desserts.

And the 4-hour long week weekend session allows one to take his/her time to work through the entire spread and revel in every offering.

So there, although in no particular order, this list of the ”best high tea in Singapore” should be enough to last you at least a month … assuming you won’t be going to each one any more than once a week!

Time to empty your stomach, head on down to any of these recommendations and live it up!
